The Vetiveria Zizanoides plant is tall and grassy. Essential oil is extracted from the roots of the plant which grow in strong, intricate systems under the earth. Steam distillation releases a thick, earthy fragranced oil, known as the 'oil of tranquillity'. The calming effect of Vetiver makes it a perfect addition to any aromatherapy blend designed to soothe and unwind the body and mind. Particularly good for night time blends, try adding Vetiver to a vaporisation blend and diffusing before bedtime. "
